PROTOCOL AMENDING THE CONVENTION BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBLE TAXATION AND THE PREVENTION OF FISCAL EVASION WITH RESPECT TO TAXES ON INCOME AND CAPITAL GAINS

India and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland signed a protocol amending convention for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital gains on  30th day of October 2012, in London on two original copies each in the English and Hindi languages, both texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence between the two texts, the English text shall be the operative one.
This Protocol amends the earlier Convention that was assigned in New Delhi on 25th January, 1993.
